Vision
Our vision is to manufacture the best shoes of felt in the world. This must be done with consideration for both man and nature, so our customers can buy products without remorse.

Mission
BEAUTIFUL – NATURAL – WARM

Our mission reflects Glerups.dk's spirit, and our products, work environment and surroundings reflect this.

The products
We are using natural raw materials, 100% new wool for the socks and soft calf skin for the soles. We have minimized the use of material and contrived details to create the unique and simple design of Glerups. The result is a slipper shoe of high quality, which gives the users a feeling of warmth and comfort.

The surroundings
It has always been a clear objective to produce all our products with respect for human and environment. We are continuously improving our value chain from raw material to end user. For example, we clean (the extent possible) the wool mechanically to avoid all unnecessary chemicals, and we only use leather tanneries inside the EU, which use the most modern and environmentally friendly methods.

History

A hobby that grew
In 1993 Nanny felted a pair of boots for the first time, and the wool used came from her Gotland sheep. The felted boots were well received among friends and family, so well, that Nanny started a small hobby production. This paved the way for the company Glerups.dk.

The development of the production
In the beginning Nanny could only felt two pairs of boots a day. Since then, Nanny and her husband Ove have worked hard in order to develop and improve the product and production technology. Several machines have been invented and discarded, making Glerups.dk capable to keep up with demand of addicted customers worldwide.

Wash and care

Wool is selfcleaning. However, if periodic cleaning is required, your Glerups can be washed in the washing machine on the "wool", "hand wash" or "delicate s" program (max 30 degrees C.).

It helps to vacuum or blow your shoes clean of dust before washing.
After a spin-dry put your feet into the wet shoes. Pat your Glerups into shape, remove, and leave to air dry. Your Glerups love fresh air.

Finding the right size

If you are unsure about what size to choose, you can use this Size chart. The chart is based on the used grenadiers’ length. It can be used only indicative as the best way to find the right fit is by trying a physical model.
